Who are we?

Our story

The Virtual Reality Learning Lab is based in the Netherlands and was founded by Robin de Lange

For more than 5 years we have been focused on VR & AR for training and education. We do fundamental research, create prototypes, teach at Leiden University and Tilburg University and train hundreds of teachers, educational publishers and e-learning professionals

We are bundling all our expertise in the Virtual Reality Learning HUB. And we continue expanding it every day.

Our courses

We teach real-world courses in The Netherlands and Belgium for:

  • teachers from primary, secondary and vocational education;
  • L&D professionals;
  • university professors;
  • professionals from publishers, training and e-learning organizations.

This video (in Dutch) gives you an idea of our courses.

Who we work for:

What people think of our real-world courses:

"This was a truly inspiring Masterclass. I have a good overview now of the possibilities that VR & AR offer for education. There was enough room to explore our own ideas and start our own project."
Lecturer @ University of Amsterdam

"Very instructive Masterclass, where the end goal is not determined, as professional development."
Bert Hulsbergen
Lecturer @ Aventus MBO

Is this something for you?

So, can we count you in? We think we have something to offer you if you…

  • work in the educational sector – in the broadest sense of the word;
  • are looking for inspiration for using VR & AR in your teaching;
  • want to challenge your students to design and program their own 3D worlds;
  • are getting tired of searching through all the different apps and platforms;

  • want to create your own VR learning material;
  • are forming a VR/AR strategy for your school;
  • want to connect with and learn from educators around the world;
  • are ready to bring your education to the next level!

Our team

You can join the VR Learning HUB by filling in this form. We will then provide you with all the information you need to make your registration complete.

Part of the VR Learning HUB will be free of any charge.

As you can imagine, developing, maintaining and improving this platform takes a lot of work. We’re an independent organization that can exist because of professionals who follow our (online) courses. Your contribution allows us to do fundamental and applied research and improve the VR Learning HUB.

That’s why we’ll also offer a Pro membership. More on that soon!

We are working hard to finish the first version of the platform. We will grant early access in the autumn of 2019.

No, the VR Learning HUB does not offer a tool for creating content. Instead, we help you to find the tool you need for your project and teach you  how to use it.

Or we help you to find already existing content and guide you in integrating this in your lesson plan.

Of course we hope you want to join the VR Learning HUB. We are an independent organization. Our team survives by giving online and offline training.

Sure, everybody is welcome to join. The main language of the platform is English, but we’re working on discussion channels in different languages.

The members of the VR Learning HUB work all over the educational field, from primary school to university and training companies. We do our best to offer valuable content for everyone, but we can’t guarantee this.

However, you can always ask us or the other members in Discussion. We’re glad to help!

This platform is mainly meant for professionals. But perhaps you are a teacher educator and your students do research in the benefits of VR for education. Then the VR Learning HUB might a perfect match for them!

Sure! We try to show what you can do with a very limited budget as well. Joining the VR Learning HUB does not require any specific hardware.

We are planning an international tour in several countries. Please contact us if you’re interested, then we can see what we can do!

Quality standards
